The organization was created in 1994 to defend the interests of workers coming to work in agriculture in North Carolina.
Since its incorporation, the Project has continued to work with farm workers and their communities to try to improve the conditions to which they are subjected. The Project also guides and supports the workers in their right to a better life, decent work and the freedom of individuals to be recognized as contributing to social and economic development in this state.
